The LifeCare Health Care Fund recently awarded $11,000 in grants to area health care related projects and organizations. Included in this year’s grant awards were:
LifeCare Health Care Fund is a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation. Founded in 2004 out of the generosity of Maggi Adams, the LifeCare Health Care Fund has grown from a Medical Equipment Fund to a group of 7 individual funds under the LifeCare Health Care Fund umbrella.
These individual funds include the General Endowment, Hospice, LifeCare Roseau Manor, LifeCare Greenbush Manor, Eagles Auxiliary Diabetes & Dialysis Fund, Think Pink Breast Cancer Fund and the Parish Nursing Fund.
The LifeCare Health Care Advisory Board announced grant opportunities in August and grants were awarded in October. This is the 4th year of grant awards from the LifeCare Health Care Fund. Since their inception, the LifeCare Health Care Funds have provided over $50,000 to support local health care and health care related activities.
