Nursing Assistant/Registered
Roseau Manor and the Float Staff Department at LifeCare Medical Center are seeking applicants for Nursing Assistants.  Duties for this position include daily living cares for our residents and patients.  Full-time and part-time positions are available. 

Housekeeping Aides
LifeCare Medical Center is seeking applicants with skills or interests in health care environmental cleaning.  This may include patient & non-patient care area. Evening part-time positions are available. 

Medical Laboratory Aide
The Laboratory department at the LifeCare Manor has an opening for a Laboratory Aide to work at their clinic site in Roseau.  The successful candidate will perform the following tasks under MT and MLT supervision: phlebotomy on patients, testing for Strep, Mono, pregnancy and other laboratory tests as required for Waived Lab, clerical duties such as writing test requisitions,   reporting and filing, monitor supplies and request inventory.  This is a part-time position (minimum 24 hrs/wk) with hours to be determined by needs of the department.  Training for this position will occur on the job. 

Emergency Medical Technicians
LifeCare Medical Center is accepting applications from certified licensed Emergency Medical Technicians.  Applicants must be certified with the State of MN.  If interested, contact Curt Ireland at 463-2500 for information regarding EMT classes scheduled for this fall.

Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician
LifeCare Medical Center is seeking applicants for a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician.  Applicants must be ASCP certified or eligible.  Join our current laboratory staff at our progressive rural laboratory serving a 25-bed hospital, three satellite clinics and two nursing homes.  This is a 40 hours/week position. 

Director of Nursing – Greenbush Manor
LifeCare Medical Center is currently recruiting a registered nurse for the position of Director of Nursing at LifeCare Greenbush Manor. The Director will provide leadership in the development of staff in “Caring for our Neighbors” at LifeCare Greenbush Manor.  We are looking for an RN with leadership, clinical and interpersonal skills.  Interest and experience with staffing and Long Term Care necessary.

CRITERIA
The LifeCare Medical Student Scholarship is offered to Roseau County students who are currently enrolled in a healthcare related, post secondary academic program.  This special award, which is offered to current post secondary students, was given for the first time in 2008. The intention of the scholarship is to show LifeCare’s support for healthcare related careers and encourage students to continue their studies in their chosen field. Scholarships are funded by LifeCare Medical Center, a not-for-profit organization that includes the hospital, Roseau Manor, Greenbush Manor, Home Care and Hospice, Public Health, and Rehabilitation Services.

One $1,500 Medical Student Scholarship will be funded through LifeCare Medical Center general fund.

AWARD: 

·      One $1,500.00 scholarship awarded annually. 

APPLICATION DEADLINE:            

·      WEDNESDAY, September 1, 2010, by mail or in person to Carol Klotz, Director of Human Resources, LifeCare Medical Center at the address listed below.  

APPLICATION CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY:

·      You must currently be enrolled in a post secondary or graduate academic program in a medical related field.

·      You must have completed at least one year of study in a medical related field.

·      You must be a high school graduate of a Roseau County school or currently living in Roseau County.

·      You must complete a LifeCare Medical Student Scholarship Application Form

·      You must attach a copy of your answers to the Application Form

·      You must attach a letter of recommendation to the Application Form

·      You must attach your most recent transcript to the Application Form

·      You must attach proof of future enrollment.

Selection and Award Procedure:

1.    The scholarship selection will be done based on the criteria listed above by the Scholarship Committee.

2.    Announcement of the scholarship selection shall be made in a letter from the selection committee to the successful applicant.

3.    The award check will be issued to the recipient.
