A closer look at LifeCare Greenbush Medical Park

Here are a few facts about the new LifeCare Greenbush Medical Park scheduled for completion in 2010.

Q: Where is the new medical park located?
A: The complex is being built on land LifeCare Medical Center is purchasing from the City of Greenbush that currently serves as the Greenbush community airport.

Q: What is included in the new facility?
A: The $8.2 million complex includes a 40-bed skilled facility. It features 12 assisted living apartments, including 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom and efficiency apartments. The complex will house the Greenbush offices of LifeCare Rehabilitation Services including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy and a wellness center that offers community gym memberships. It will also include a primary care clinic open five days per week with a behavioral health office. The new medical park will include a LifeCare Home Care office that caters to residents of the Greenbush area. In addition, a large storage facility on the current site was donated to LifeCare by Dennis and Teri Brazier.

 

Q: What are some benefits of the new facility?
A: Some advantages of this new facility include 24 private rooms, a more spacious environment, more room for dining, a large community gathering room, a wellness center, ample parking, and improved temperature control through a geothermal heating and cooling system. The project will be LEED certified, a designation given to new construction that meets set practices of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
