LifeCare's Skate Pass offers flexible schedule for training on new Endless Ice treadmill

LifeCare Fitness Specialist LeEarl Rugland says the already successful new Endless Ice skating treadmill has become even more popular now that skaters can purchase a punch card and book "ice times" that are flexible and fit into their already busy schedules.

Athletes looking to fit more treadmill “ice time” into their busy schedules are becoming big fans of LifeCare’s new Skate Pass.
Designed to offer flexibility around busy schedules, the Skate Pass punch card allows athletes to book 30-minute sessions on LifeCare’s Endless Ice treadmill without committing to a rigid schedule.
“It’s an open format, meaning you don’t have to commit to a set day or time,” says LifeCare Fitness Specialist LeEarl Rugland. “You can train when it fits your agenda, whether it’s twice a week or once this week and three times next week.”
LifeCare’s Skate Pass sells for $200 and has punch holes for 10 sessions plus a free bonus visit—a savings of $20.

A closer look at LifeCare's new Skate Pass.

Each half hour training session accommodates one or two skaters per slot. This allows the trainer to focus more on individual skills.
Sessions are supervised by Rugland or LifeCare Athletic Trainer Jordan Anderson, MS, ATC.
“Just give us a call and we will find a time that fits into your busy schedule,” Rugland says.

Skating Mechanics
Training on LifeCare’s new Endless Ice treadmill gives skaters time to really focus on the mechanics of their stride.
A video recording of skating sessions provides visual aid for analyzing and evaluating the skater’s performance.
“The Endless Ice treadmill is great for finding any imperfections in your skating stride,” says Rugland.
The treadmill’s built-in stride analysis lasers can be used to correct a skaters stride and technique.
“In addition to building endurance, the time can also be used to improve skills like cross-overs, quick starts, and shooting while in stride,” Rugland says.    “You get a lot of skate time in each session.”

Training Camp
This fall, LifeCare will offer a six-week Endless Ice training camp focused on fitness and getting in shape for next season.
The camp will feature hour-long sessions twice a week. Watch for details about camp registration in the months ahead.

Think Pink Fund benefits from area events
Last summer local riders and rodeo participants participated in two area events that raised over $9,500 for the Think Pink Breast Cancer Fund.
The Greenbush Rodeo kicked into high gear, raising over $4,000.
Since starting the fund just over two years ago, Keith and Dana Wojciechowski continue to provide significant financial support through activities at the Greenbush Rodeo every year on the 4th of July.
This year, the “Riders of Hope” trail ride collected donations and pledges from their riders who were part of the Greenbush 4th of July parade. Other proceeds came from T-shirt sales, breakfast and ticket sales.
In August, the North Country Horsemen Saddle Club and the M & R Triple T Ranch hosted their Second Annual Cancer Ride and Benefit. This event raised a record-breaking $11,300 which was split between the Think Pink Breast Cancer Fund and Altru’s Filling the Gap program. Activities included the trail ride, evening meal, silent auction and a dance.
