7th Annual May
Walk/Run for Diabetes to be
held May 1 at Roseau City Center |
The 7th Annual
LifeCare May Walk/Run for Diabetes is set
for May 1. This year, all activities will be
held at Roseau City Center.
Participants qualify for prize giveaways and are
eligible for a free T-shirt courtesy of
LifeCare Medical Center. Early registration
will be held April 24-25 at the Home, Sport,
and Family Show in Roseau.
Once again, LifeCare will cover most of the costs
associated with the event so that 100% of
funds raised can be donated to local
diabetes efforts. These include the Roseau
Area Diabetes Center, the American Diabetes
Association, and the LifeCare Health Care
Fund Eagles Auxiliary Diabetes Fund.
Held each year on the first Saturday in May, the event
continues to gain momentum.
“We anticipate another fantastic response
this year,” says Deb Haugen, LifeCare’s
Senior Leader of Marketing. “We’ve had
participants here from throughout Roseau
County, southern Manitoba, the Red River
Valley, and beyond.”
Activities begin at 8:00 a.m. with registration, free
glucose checks, and a free-will offering
pancake breakfast sponsored by the Roseau
Lions Club.
The 5K walk/run starts at 10:00 a.m.
A special thanks goes to the LOW-Roseau Chapter of
Thrivent Financial for providing
supplemental funds to help sponsor the
event.

the event, please call LifeCare
