The installation of windows is another step toward completion.

HomeCare, LifeCare Behavioral Health, and LifeCare Rehabilitation Services. A wellness center that offers community memberships is also included.  “It’s great to see the external structure taking shape and to have the entire building heated,” says Shannon Carlson, Administrator of LifeCare Greenbush Manor. “Our staff is preparing transition plans to accommodate a late summer or early fall move in date.”  Regularly scheduled updates including construction photos, stories, and other information will be posted online at www.lifecaremedicalcenter.org

Roseau Health Care Auxiliary raises funds for equipment

Working behind the scenes since 1955, the Roseau Health Care Auxiliary assists the hospital in its mission of Caring for Generations by raising funds for hospital use in addition to supporting several service projects.  The Auxiliary, which meets four times a year—the third Monday of February, April, September, and October—raises most of its funds through an annual quilt raffle. These funds have been used for a variety of projects, including two recent purchases: a blood pressure monitor and a carrying case for transporting Laboratory equipment to area health fairs.

"We used to borrow a blood pressure monitor for community health fairs. Now, thanks to the Auxiliary, we have our own to use whenever we need it,” says LifeCare Wellness Coordinator Dawn Hedlund.  “The carrying case makes it much easier to carry and protect sensitive equipment,” says Nima Mostofi, Director of Laboratory.  Anyone interested in joining the Auxiliary is encouraged to attend the groups annual membership meeting Monday, April 19.  “Being a member of the Auxiliary takes only a few hours a year and is a gratifying way to serve LifeCare Medical Center and LifeCare Roseau Manor,” says Auxiliary chair Gloria Skrutvold.

For more information, contact Skrutvold at (218) 463-1602 or Auxiliary ViceChair Nancy Swanson at (218) 463-2691.
