DIABETES CENTER
LifeCare Medical Center is a partner with the Altru Health
System in the Roseau Area Diabetes Center to provide education
for the management and prevention of diabetes for its patients,
families, health care providers and the community. Roseau Area
Diabetes Center is dedicated to a team approach of treating
diabetes so that people in our community will feel confident
with the up-to-date diabetes care provided close to home by
healthcare professionals they know and trust.
Management of the patient’s diabetes is under the supervision of
their primary physician and members of the Center’s Core Team
which is comprised of a physician, a Registered Dietitian and
Certified Diabetes Educators. Advisory team members may
participate as follows: social work referrals aid patients and
families in making lifestyle adjustments at the time they learn
they have diabetes, pharmacy, laboratory professionals and
physical therapists contribute to the management of diabetes
patients.
